Today we started our presentation project where students will be creating a poster full of information about themselves and use it to make an oral presentation in front of the whole class.
In order for this project to be more engaging and meaningful for the students, I kindly ask parents to please send some pictures to be used for their work this week (week of Nov 6th). Note that this is not mandatory (students can use drawings).
The presentation schedule is as follows.
Monday 13th
Maliha, Matvey, Reine, Elyse, Valerie K.
Tuesday 14th
Ivan, Tyler, Valerie B, Matthew, Brian
Wednesday 15th
Liam, Angelina, Daniel, Hunter, Nathan
Thursday 16th
Evelyn, Katelyn, Lavi, Anne, Jayden
Some examples of pictures that can be useful are:
1. a picture of the student when s/he was just born / was a baby.
2. a picture of the student taken this year.
3. a picture of the student's family.
4. up to 3 pictures taken at the students' special moments (celebrations, family vacation, religious ceremonies, when siblings were born, etc. - Students chose 6 significant life events on their own. Please speak with your child to find out which events s/he has chosen.
A draft of their planning of the poster will be sent home tomorrow so that the student can discuss it with the parents/guardians and help select pictures.
The size of pictures does not matter as I will be using a colour printer to shrink them to a good size but if you have the option to print the pictures smaller than 8 cm x 11 cm, it will be ideal.
